XL Dish Giant Sequoia Bonsai

Kris Welker shows an XL dish giant sequoia bonsai on 7/16/06. This bonsai has never been topped. It is a natural dwarf.

This giant sequoia bonsai is in training. The top will be narrowed gradually over the years.

This tree has been shallow potted for 2 years.

These images of our giant sequoia XL dish bonsais were taken in July of 2006. The top two bonsais were shallow potted in the winter of 2005-2006. The bottom bonsai was shallow potted in the winter of 2004-2005. These trees are 8 to 12 years old. They were naturally too short for the landscape tree market but are perfect for bonsai. The tree in the upper right photo is a natural dwarf. It had only acheived the height of 3 1/2 feet after many years in the landscape tree grow yard. It is still under 4 feet in height and has never been topped. It was first pruned when shallow potted this year. These trees are not complete.

We will only offer them for sale when they are complete. You are welcome to stop by the nursery and make an offer on any of our XL dish bonsais. The trunks are 3 to 4 inches in diameter and the trees average around 4 feet in height. We have 12 in stock as of 7/15/08.
